History

Coming from a family of wine growers from father to son, and daughter since 1802, Michel

Gonet created its eponym Champagne brand in 1973 with one leitmotiv, being the creation of fine and environment-friendly Champagnes.

Michel Gonet soon made the family wine holding flourishing by acquiring new plots and

extending the total acreage to 38 acres in the 1980s. He started to produce Champagnes to his taste and coming from villages like Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Vindey, Montgueux and

Fravaux.

Nowadays, Charles-Henri, Frédéric and Sophie, his three children, are succeeding their father and continue to spread his vision : the Gonet estate is above all synonymous with audacity and adventure.

Our main philosophy is sharing. Sophie, Gonet’s daughter who is in charge of the Champagne production, strongly defends our will of excellency when it comes to our wines.

In a spirit of professionalism, but also to welcome our champagne and wine lover guests, Sophie redecorated the headquarters surrounded by the vineyards in Avize. In 2011, she  bought a private mansion, which was built in 1986 in a neo-gothic style, in the middle of the Avenue de Champagne in Épernay.
