Michel Gonet in Bordeaux
A family of winegrowers for eight generations, we have passed down the know-how and passion for the vine across time and regions.
In 1986, Michel Gonet expanded beyond his native Champagne by acquiring Château Lesparre in Bordeaux. He was soon joined by his children Sophie, Charles-Henri and Frédéric, who continued this family adventure. Over time, the vineyards grew with a constant search for unique and promising terroirs: Château Haut-Bacalan, Château d’Eck, and later Château Haut-Brana in 2014, strengthening the presence of Vignobles Michel Gonet across some of Bordeaux’s finest appellations.

As Independent Winegrowers, all our wines come from our own vineyards. We follow the Bordeaux tradition by naming each wine after the lieu-dit and the estate associated with it.
We are dedicated to crafting authentic wines that faithfully express and respect their terroir.
