Notes from the Michel Gonet family:
On the nose, the elegance of an apple blossom meets the sweetness of a caramelized yellow fruit Tatin tart and the freshness of a lemon meringue.
On the palate, a fresh attack transforms into a luscious blend of caramel and crème brûlée. The white flowers hinted at on the nose blossom into almond blossoms and evolve on the palate towards honey and beeswax. The richness imparted by aging on the lees and the abundance of aromas counterbalance the bitterness and citrus notes, then carry this wine away in a slow, lingering finish. Always present, the underlying minerality provides structure and a touch of complex salinity.
This vintage is a return to the terroirs cultivated by our ancestors. A synthesis of our finest terroirs, year after year. A link to those generations of winemakers who loved us and passed on their knowledge, and whose memory still guides us today.
For those who have tasted and savored our vintages over the decades, this wine will revive the memory of your finest tastings of Michel Gonet.
